   Hey Len, confusing isn't it?!  One way to go, and one way only.  Flying Dutchman blades.  Get on the horn with Mike (see link below) and he will get you started, send you some samples, give you specific recommendations, and always be there for help when you need it!

   Last Christmas when I was making ornaments, I tried probably 4 different brands -- The FD blades are like a Rolls Royce compared to the other blades.  I use mostly a #5 scroll reverse blade, but keep a couple others in stock for finer/coarser work.  Want to try his new spiral reverse blades too.

   Formerly just 'Don' but not the 'Glassmaster Don' or the lower-case 'don'.

   For some odd reason, scroll saw blades are hard to get in this area. I've been tearing what's left of my hair out over it now and then.

   Leon, you will love the Flying Dutchman blades! 

   I suspect that a decent selection of scroll saw blades is darned near impossible to find on the shelves anywhere!  I went nuts last Christmas shopping here and at the big boxes, then I called Mike.  Was in 7th heaven after using the first blade.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the  "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)

   I suspect I will, FG.

   When Moore's (local borg, kinda) went contractor-only, nobody else was carrying blades other than Sneers/Sawbuck. I've been hoarding my Olsons since then.

   BTW, do any of you folks know if there's a motor for an old Rockwell/Delta 24 inch scroll saw available anywhere? When I rehabbed this one, the motor that came with it was not the correct one, so the starter/capacitor housing is too high and interferes with doing deep work.
