Hey guys,
I was just wondering if any of you know why my blades would clime while ship lapping some boards. I have a 10″ delta saw and twice my blades moved from 3/8 inch high to 1/2 inch. thanks mike

mr. jones, mr. jones,
does the climb,to which you refer, mean that your saw blade is rising 3/8" to 1/2" when you're running the machine? if so, perhaps the blade is not locked into position. my 10" has a knurled knob in the center of the up and down adjusting wheel at the front of the saw. a sturdy twist to the right, and she ain't going up nor down.
best wishes,
eef
MJ, if locking the height-adjustment wheel doesn't work, you've probably got some parts in the mechanism that are worn. If the locking fails to solve the problem, let us know how old the saw is and how hard it's been used.
Model #?

I have an older 10" Rockwell that occasionally does the same thing if I haven't tightened down the lock very well. Usually, I'll make a couple of cuts then recheck the height.
