Building a work bench from Basic woodworking by Asa Christianson. He refers to “S” clips for fastening the work bench top to the work bench frame.
Having a hard time locating where to purchase these clips.
One end of the “S” Clip fits into a grove made at the top of the frame and the other end of the “S” Clip screws into the bottom of the bench top.
Any help would be appreciated.

Makita LS1219L Miter Saw
This is the saw I want in my shop. For one, it’s easy to use. All of the controls are easy to reach and manipulate, and the glide mechanism is both robust and smooth. The handle works well for righties and lefties. Then there are added bonuses that no other saw has. For instance, its hold-down is superb, as it can move to different locations, hinges for a greater range of coverage, and actually holds down the work. In addition, the saw has two points of dust collection, letting it firmly beat the rest of the field. The one downside was the saw’s laser, which was so faint we had to turn off the shop lights to see it. Still, all these pluses in a package that fits tight to the wall? That’s a winner for me.

I think this is what you're looking for https://www.highlandwoodworking.com/tabletopoffsetfastenerspk12.aspx
Edit: That said, I find the figure eight fasteners are easier to use https://www.highlandwoodworking.com/figure8tabletopfastenerspk12.aspx
I think that most refer to those as "Z" clips but, the actual term seems to be "table top fasteners". See here:

I bought mine on Lee Valley website.
I agree there are more commonly referred to as Z clips. As mentioned I prefer figure 8 fasteners. For a workbench I would be more inclined to drill through holes and a counter bore from below and use long lag screws and washers.
