I have a hand mirror that I am interested in using waterborne finish. Waterborne for simplisity and cleanup. I am also interested in durability of the finish. This hand mirror will be used in the bathroom and around various solvents when my daughter gets primped to go out. So is waterborne okay to use, which do I use, or should I use something else?

No matter what you do to that mirror it won't last with that lady unless you make it out of bronze.
I have tried water base but never liked it - but if you're looking for something easy it isn't all bad.

Waterborne finish
I have used General Finishes, water based Polycrylic for many years. It is a rock-solid performer: flows out with no brush marks, drys quickly, cleans up easily. I tried about 10 other brands befor settling on this one. Woodcraft handles it.
