Hi all
I took apart my Porter Cable 3hp Plunge router to clean up some rust.
It seems almost impossible to get the springs recompressed to put it together.
Any tricks I should know about or advice?

A picture would help a lot.
I'm just guessing without a pic, but maybe it wants a tool like a valve spring compressor?

Sorry no pics.
Just 2 big springs sticking up from the columns.
I can't imagine any valve spring compressor long enough for these springs, or how it would fit.
But it does give me an idea to try tomarrow.
