Why choose a demension like 1-5/16″ it seems more difficult to create than say 1-1/4″ or 1-1/2″ ?I did build your walnut round table and it looks great, thanks.

Just ornery I guess is the answer. Or metric.
Thinking on it, I believe I wanted something thicker than 1 1/4" but couldn't get my stock to yield more than 1 5/16". Ergo, the perfect size! Sometimes, it just works out that way.
