Has anyone been following “Rough Cut Show” with Thomas J. MacDonald http://www.bobvila.com/RoughCutShow/. He has been podcasting the building of a Bombe over the last 14 mos. He shows some of the great techniques he has learned while attending the North Bennett Street School, as well as, sharing his mistakes proving even the professional make them. Right now he has started the first instructional class over the internet that I am aware of at this time. The cost of the class is the students willingness to particated and make the commitment to complete the project.
The level of craftmenship Tom illustrates in his work is amazing and I cannot not believe the the folks at Fine Woodworking has not completed an artical on this woodworker and how he shaping the craft by using the internet. His first class, called “The Crazy Leg Table” will have four different types of legs with embellishment on them, the top will have inlay fans (which he will teach how to make), an veneer drawer with cockbeading. He is providing rough and final dimension cut list and written procedures all available though his forum, plus there is a video podcast instructions.

Chuck is absolutely correct, the Crazy Leg Federal table has just started and has been a blast. Even met some new friends.
The building has just started and guys are just beginning to post, most of us are dimensioned out or just into joinery..........jump on in, the water is fine and more importantly it's been the FUN kind of Woodworking!!!!!
I'm a big advocate of building-building-and more building...........Building with T-Chisel is different. It's more Chop-Chop and less Type-Type!!!!
