A client has asked me to make a rope twist newell post. I know how to do it by hand but was wondering if anyone knows of router jig plans that I could build.I would like to have a jig on hand for future projects. I know of the legacy ornamental mill but don’t feel like paying 800 to 3000 bucks for something for occassional use. I found some craftsman lathes on ebay but they are too small.

In the book "Router Magic" by Bill Hylton there are plans for a router lathe. page 269 - 297.
I've added that to my winter project list.
From the inset photo, looks like it may be what you need.
thank you
