$75.00 tops.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
I'd go $50.00. I had a 6" portable and with that short in-feed tables it will be rough going. Save your money and go after a 8" minimum. I gave my old 6" delta to my brother.
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
There is also the fact that every 6" portable jointer I've seen has been driven by a universal motor. They were LOUD! For $150 you should be able to find one of the old Craftsman 6" jointers. They weren't great performers but they were heavy and used induction motors. Lots of furniture has been built using them.Regards,Ron

My old delta had a belt drive moter but I never could get the dang thing to stay right for any amound of time. I switched to a LN #7 before getting the griz 12"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
Turn around and don't look back !!!
IMHO it's a boat anchor and a poor one at that.
If memory serves me correctly it's cast Aluminum with NO outfeed table adjustment.

thx for the replies everybody, i found another, a regular rockwell 6 inch, more money but im sure a much better machine
its an older us made, in perfect working order apparently
I might be lightly used because it may not work very well. A tool is no bargain if you spend time struggling with it.
Buy the best, you only cry once.

thanks, that why i decided on the "bigger" 6 inch

Holy crap, verify the cutter head speed before firing it up! The motor pulley looks huge! If it's a 1725 RPM motor you should be OK, but if it's a 3450 RPM It'll be way too fast. Otherwise, they are a great old jointer. Had 2 older models than that one & they were great. Currently have a Delta 8" (1975) that looks very similar to that 6" except for placement of adjustment handwheels - mine are under the tables. Spent a fair bit of time on it but now have it aligned, knives sharpened, tables shimmed & generally beat into submission. Works great.
Amen to that--------WW 57
