I can buy a Rockwell-Delta 20″ bandsaw for $400. the saw is in good shape. My concern is if I need parts will they be available and is the price as good as I think. The saw was used in a high school shop and was bought at an auction. Anyone with any experience with this machine or knows anything about them, please advise. Thanks

Hi chalky ,
The price is about the going rate for a good used 14" Delta Band saw so if the 20" is all there and actually works , imo it's a great value if you can use it.
Things to look at or consider :can you bring it home and plug it in ? is it 3 phase or single phase are the wheels bent or table broken or frame cracked ?
good luck dusty
Parts are readily available. If the pad on the foot-brake is worn out, and memory serves me correctly, it's a royal pain to replace. Easy solution... don't use the brake. Check to see if it has a straight 220 volt motor or a 3 phase one. Tires are prety standard and SHOULD be interchangable with other 20" saws.
