I plan on building a rocking chair. With respect to the rocker there are three choices: steam bending, lamination or solid wood curved on the bandsaw. I am trying to decide between bent lamination and solid wood. I’d appreciate advice as to which would be best for a rather heavy rocking chair.
Any suggestions?

Hands down, lamination can give you the best matching and the most strength. The caveat of lamination is getting the look and color to match.
