Recently I bought a Victorian-era Scottish style infil plane with a broken tote, and I intend to make a new tote. Would like to match the antique mahogany (which I would have called ‘Spanish’ or ‘Cuban’ mahogany when working on old furniture in the UK).
Can anyone help?

There's a company named Blue Moon which markets Cuban Mahogany grown in Palau. http://www.bluemoonexoticwood.com/cuban_mahogany.html
Thanks
I'd forgotten about them. Have asked for a price, and whether they'll ship a small piece to New Zealand.
