I want to build a dinning table and matching bench and chairs using reclaimed/recycled hardwood. I am having a hard time finding relaimed hardwoods. All the places I have found seem to deal in reclaimed flooring. I need 8/4 +/- wood. Does anyone know of a good source?
Thanks.

A lot of pallets and machinery shipping skids used to be made of ash, I've made a few items from old skids. Get friendly with a local trucking company or freight handler outfit. Dunnage can be anything from alder to walnut.
I would never have thought of that one. Thank you.
Depends on what you are looking for; appears to be a lot out there. A quick search turned up the following (I can't vouch for any of them - my recycling sources are all friends-and-family):

Thank you. I will give them a try.
