Question on the extra Delta throat plate
Hey Guys,
I just put together my Delta cabinet saw and I have a question on the extra throat plate that they supply. Has anyone used the extra one that they supply with a dado blade?
Thank’s-Cordless

Is the slot wider than the throat plate for a dado blade?
If so, it may be for a molding cutter. I imagine there are still a few who use a molding cutter blade on a table saw, but most these days use routers instead.
Big,
I've got the Griz...but I think it's similar. I use the wide mouth for the dado...and I believe it's necessary when placing the blade at 45 degrees angle too...unless you make your own..
