Pulley for Rockwell Shaper
I recently purchased an old Rockwell shaper model # 43-350. It needs a replacement motor pulley that’s a single belt, 7 1/2″ diameter, with a 7/8″ bore. It’s a solid pulley that looks like it would act like a flywheel also. Tried all the usual searches and have come up empty. Any ideas?

Paul,
It won't make a significant difference if you use a spoked pulley.
Grainger sells a spoked cast iron Browning brand pulley with a separate hub that would fit your machine in either 7.25" or 7.75" OD. You would probably be better off using the smaller diameter just to avoid any chance of clearance problems, the slight difference in the diameter won't have any effect on the shaper's performance. Any supplier of power transmission supplies would have the Browning pulleys or something equivalent.
You can probably get the pulley from Delta, but I expect it would cost quite a bit more than the $50.00 or so that it would cost from Grainger or a similar company.

I believe the green bear sells them. Your local electric motor shop probably does too.

Thanks for the info.
