I was thinking about occasionally posting ideas
for doting grandparents who like to make ‘Stuff’ for the grandchillin’
My little(6yrs) guy expects something waiting for him every visit.
If not, I must make something right before his eyes.
I recieved a request for a secure enclosure for his
‘walluble’ collection of baseball cards.
I made him a lunchbox sized aluminum safe
complete with a combination dial and a real lock
To make it REALLY secure, I embellished it with
(Count em.. 141 rivets)and I locked the combination inside,
just to fire up his natural imagination ( And his ire as well)
Since he has been taking Karate lessons, I also made him
a U shaped open box and a ton of rectangular cedar shingles
cut to fit across it, so he can split each of them in one chop.
With the ‘Package’, comes a white woolen glove
(Decorated with oriental charactors )
fitted with a hidden lead strip sewn in to
better assist his tiny hand and much larger sense of power

Sir. I am NOT preaching but lead in any form is not what a child needs. Sorry, but I have grandchildren and want their minds sharp as a tack. Yes, I'm old and played with lead all the time as kid and I think I'm OK? How about hidden sand? Oh, that has Silica.. sorry.
Happy holiday...
The lead is covered and sewn into the glove and he'll only try it once then I'll take it out of the glove.he won't need it the wood is very thin. Steinmetz
