I recently saved two sandwich board signs from an old time business that closed in my neighborhood and want to ‘preserve’ them. They have no monetary or particular artistic value, just sentimental, so I’m just looking for a quick cheap fix. I think its probably acrylic artist paint on poorly prepped plywood. The paint is starting to peel and lift in places and I just want to slap something clear on top that will preserve and protect the images.
