I need to see how the motor support goes into the cabinet, does anyone have one of these? Or know of a site where I could get a look at how it fits?
This was the type of lathe used in schools, mfg about 1965.

Do you have a model number? If you don't, go to the "Old Woodworking Machines" website and look at the pictures to detemine which you have. I believe there were only two at that time: Model 45 & Model 90. When you figure out the model number, on the same website, you will find original owner manuals posted and the manual will show how the motor is mounted.
I have a similar vintage Powermatic, but I can't remember which model it is. Good machine!

thanks for the info, it is the 45.
