Not the periwinkle or the magenta???
You make me LMAO !
Those Porter Cable guy's haven't kept up
with the times.
My 14.4 kicked the bucket this winter, so I went looking...
They haven't upgraded in years. They don't compare to the
current specs. at all.
I'm hoping they are about to release a new line, sure loved my
old one.
I wouldn't count on it now that they are under the same roof as Dewalt, and Black&Decker.
Yeah, I gave up and got a Milwaukee. Took a chance and tried the compact 18v. lith-ion.
Love it so far. Light and small. Led light. Five year warranty.
I do have to use 1st gear now and again, but it will drive 3" screws
just fine.

Almost but not quite. B&D acquired DeWalt. Delta acquired Porter Cable

And, the holding company that owned Delta / Porter Cable has solt them to Black and Decker.
Go to the Porter-Cable or Delta sites, and try to get a manual or parts.
You end up at a joint, Dewalt / Delta / Porter-Cable / Black&Decker service site.
That also sells parakeet cage parts (in periwinkle), after you register- of course. It's no wonder Festool is kicking a## and taking names.BB
Yep, and with them Festus sisitainers you can keep all your lunch on one place. Go to a jobsite and it looks like the laundry is gettin done!
Without a doubt Festus Tools has to be the gee gaw king.

A Woodworkers mind should be the sharpest tool in the shop!
Yeah but, Festus can keep those weird arse Screw guns of theirs.
B&D acquired DeWalt a long time ago probably in the late 60s the yellow tools we see today were B&D Industrial they had an awfull reputation so became by magic DeWalt. You can make it fool proof but not idiot proof
They make great guns!
I held out as long as I could. Went through two sets of batteries, was
down to one and still dealing with it.
Then the clutch started slipping... Still wouldn't get rid of it.
Then the chuck went.
Twelve years of very hard use no complaints from me. Just nothing
up to date to replace it with.
Henley,
I used porter cable for 10 years until later. My friend Josh was using them and then switched to the neighbors tool. She had smoking hot buns but wasn't as brand loyal to any tool or car. Yellow corn as we say kind of got in the way if you know what I mean. If they do break down just call in the warranty number and never push. If you have the gray models then keep them and run them often. I havn't seen other colors. Corded models work best and I keep and extra wipe wash incase they get greasy and stick. Looking for a case but don't have one and it should fit.
Hey hit me back...
Talk atcha later, bradbird
Yeah I didn't think to call customer support.
I figure it's time for a new one anyhow. PS
How was my translation?
My best guess-
I used Porter Cable (screw guns) for 10 years until later my Friend Josh was using them, and then switched to the neighbors screw gun ( She has a rather attractive posterior but wasn't brand loyal to any tool
or car). Some things are more important then tools if your know what I
mean.
If they do break down just call in the warranty number and ask nicely.
If you have the grey models then keep them and run them often.
I haven't seen other colors. ( lost me there)
I prefer corded models and I keep them nice and clean. Sure wish I
had a case for mine, but it should fit any way. (lost me again)
In all honesty could you hold a real conversation with yourself at
16?
Being kind of in the middle myself (35) I find both the young and the old enviable while confusing...
So for now mid-thirties is my favorite part.
In all honesty could you hold a real conversation with yourself at 16?
But of course I could. At that age I was the smartest person on earth! Maybe that's why I talked to myself a lot. What really sucked was when I lost an argument with myself.......................

The manifest destiny of a 16 year old is to p... of their parents so they can enjoy the freedom of their choices. Talking to them is not part of this plan, only when they have fully grown into their brains, can you have meaningful conversations. Until then just try to keep them alive!
It is really nice that mine are 23 and 25 and my IQ has quadrupled! They are a ton of fun to have around now, even if the music is still a bit weird. But we do love Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Crows and a few others. <!----><!----><!---->

My Dad used to say that a child's respect for their parents knowledge is an exponential function of the number of years they are away from their 16th birthday.
When they are 8, Dad knows everything worth knowing.
When they are 10, Dad probably knows most things.
When they are 13, Dad might know how to do a few things.
When they are 16, they are surprised Dad can tie his own shoes, and is toilet trained.
By the time they hit 19, they might think Dad knows enough to come in out of the rain.
Somewhere around 25, they start coming around for advice again.
I love it. Sounds like your Dad had things figured out pretty straight.
One of the odd tid bits of life I remember from school. In ancient Rome days, boys were married by the time they were 16 and girls at 14. OK, yes this was in the day of short life expectancy, and an agricultural society. But can you imagine how that worked out? <!----><!----><!---->

But at our age they would put us in a home if they caught us arguing with ourselves.
And we put them on Prozac.
If they're gonna put me in a home it had better have a well equipped woodshop!

I was always told that it was okay to talk to yourself if you didn't answer your own questions.
Is that like hearing yourself think?
:-)

Yes, but I am getting so hearing impaired that I can't even think anymore.
