Does anybody have/use the Rousseau router table (standing one, not table top model) ease of use sturdyness ,etc. I don’t have the room for a stand-alone but need a portable larger top than table model. Any help would be appreciated.

i have one and like the working height, but the fence on it leaves a lot to be desired IMHO. no problems with its sturdiness.
Thanks for your imput, I appreciate that
When I was considering a portable router table, Bench Dog was at or near the top of the list. Have you looked at them? Or, if you have a few sheckles, consideer the Veritas steel top set onto a portable base, and the Veritas fence. Here it is, shown with the right-angle sled option. You can build that base yourself out of scrap plywood. Top and fence are $330, top accepts any router, and stays flat, doesn't sag. I've had mine for about 3 years, bought used, and it has a 3+lb Freud router in it. Love it. Built my own stand, with a dust collection enclosure under it.

Had one -- I concur with stpat's analysis -- the fence is a real crappy design. I gave mine to my father-in-law (who doesn't work wood but likes tools) and bought a JessEm. Overall, the table (not counting the fence, of course) is sturdy and well made. The fact that the legs collapse making the table portable is a bonus for a small shop or a ww'er needing mobility in a router table. I'd buy it again -- if the price was right (under 2 bills -- way under) and redesign/purchase a new fence for it. Probably a better suggestion would be to by a JessEm, or, as Forestgirl suggested the Veritas table (also an excellent table). Since mobility is a requirement for you -- go with the Veritas (it's also less expensive than the JessEm).
