I have a Kreg rocket, and have only used it on 3/4″ material. What do I need for doing some face frames in 1/2″ thickness? Shorter screws? I have been using screws at 1-1/4″ length, and see that 1″ length screws are available.

I think your best bet is to go to Kreg's web site, which covers this.
There is a 1" modified pan head that is better suited for 1/2" material due to the shallower countersink depth.
Just bought their pro pak kit and thought the web site was informative and helped with my purchase decision.
Now If I can find time to make use of the kit.....
