To all my friends and former customers here I want to let you know that I’m closing down my PlaneWood business. It’s been a very fun 6 years and I’m certainly going to miss all the friends and fellow woodworkers I’ve met along the way.
Making the decision on this retirement was certainly harder than it was for my first retirement!
Sharon is now retired and we want to do a lot of traveling while we have the desire and the ability. Plus, I want to spend a LOT more time playing with my 7 granddaughters!
I will occasionally put handles and knobs on Ebay until my lumber supply is used up.
Thank you and may the Great Spirit of all good spirits be with you now and forevermore.
Sincerely,
Mike Taylor – aka “PlaneWood by Mike_in_Katy”

Thank you for all of your dedication. You will be missed.
Wow, another career change?! Enjoy those granddaughters and all the miles of travel. You deserve it!!!!!!
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

I don't believe we've heard the last of you, old son. Just because you've retired (again) it doesn't mean you can't continue contributing - I rekon you'll come back from time to time as we've all got something to give in this wee community. It's also a bit of fun.
Happy trails
Don
Congratulations, Mike. All the best to you and your family.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Enjoy the traveling and the time with the kids. I hope we will still see you around here. Some of the busiest people I know are retired, so don't count on getting much rest.
Best to you both.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time"
I was traveling and just got to this thread. I am delighted to hear you are looking to enjoy life, retirement is super. Just the other day I was sitting at my bank lady's desk doing some business when her boss interupted us with a crisis in some account. She looked at me sadly and said that she was so sorry and would be back in a few minutes. I told her not to worry and that I didn't mind because I'M RETIRED.
Enjoy, Pat-
--edit, sorry I clicked post before I checked the address. This was obviously for Mike, who I guess will see it anyway. pfh
