I buy bulk sanding belt rolls and cut my own. It’s simple and much cheaper than buying the pre-made belts. Just use one of the Performax or Jet store-bought belts as a template.

I bought my sanding abrasive from Industrial Abrasives and used the paper that came with the sander as a pattern. The new paper out performs the Klingspore paper that came with the sander. For one thing the Industrial Abrasive paper is a little thicker and much more durable. I have sanded over 300 sq.ft. of poplar & maple and the 120 grit paper I am using still looks like new.
