Has anyone heard the rumor that Pentair is selling Delta to Ryobi. My Delta rep said that there was no truth to it but there were a lot of changes in the air concerning Delta. He didn’t elaborate on the changes. I just checked some of Pentairs SEC filings and didn’t see anything obvious.
Just wondering.

That sounds like your answer. This was discussed adnausium on another forum with no facts to support the original "statements".
At this point it has to be just a rumor. Anyone who would be aware of it being true, would be under a requirement to keep quiet.
Nope, it is not just a rumor.
Pentair is based here in MN, and there was a piece in the local paper last week that Pentair is putting the whole tool side of their business (Delta and Porter Cable) up for sale. They did not say anything about buyer candidates.
It seems the new CEO (a refugee from GE) has managed to convnice the board to scrap tools (low potential for growth) and get into the water filtration business -- or something down that line.

Yes, actually, the sale of the tools businesses has been out "on the street" for quite a while. There were prelimary warning annoucements a few months ago.
The rumor part is the purchase by the conglomerate owner of Ryobi.Howie.........
