Paintshaver Pro vs, Metabo Paint Remover
Anyone used either the Paintshaver Pro or the Metabo Paint Remover tool on exterior wood trim? I am considering a purchase and I can find little information on these. The tools appear to be similar though there is a huge price difference.

My local paint store indirectly sells the paintshaver and quite a few painters locally have them I hear. Haven't tried contacting them yet. The metabo look like it's worth a shot. Do a google search and you will find reviews on amazon and such. Try posting on breaktime and other forums directly relate to house painting for better results. There's a few other paint removal products such as the infrared heat type remover. Make sure you know the lead laws in your state. In MA I've heard of contractors who had to bear the responsibility of a nearby child with lead poisoning. Who's to say if the kid chewed on lead in his own house but that's the stuff you need to be aware of. Hepa vacuums are available for paint removers.
