The Oct 18 meeting was a good one and we had a big tool auction, One of the older members had passed away and the club auction off his tool for his wife.
I pick up 3 nice planes 1. Sargent #196. 2. Sargent scraper plane. 3. Stanley #192 all 3 are just like new. $50. for the scraper and $35 for the other 2.
The jewelers lathe cost me $40.
Next meeting is Nov. 15 at Aurora, Oregon. American Legion Hall, corner of 3rd and Main Aurora, Or.

Sounds like a great day, ST. Wish I could have made it, but it was a no go.
Sequim Tool,
How do I join? I belong to MidWest but the meetings are far, far away and have never been to one. I'd like to see all those tools in one place! How often are the meetings?
I, for one, really appreciate you posting this information!
Regards,
Mack

Dues is only $15 a year, you can pay the dues at the door. As I posted the next meeting is in Oregon Nov. 15. then no meeting in Dec. I will post the date for next meeting, West Seattle, some time in Jan.
I think you can look the club up on line, tooltimer.com/PNTC

Thanks much! I will definitely make an effort to attend the meeting in West Seattle!

Click here for their web site. I printed off the membership form, but didn't get to go to the meeting. Nice to see another Seattle-ite here!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Thanks for the link. Actually, Oak Harbor is my home. Seattle is just a place I have to be three days a week! LOL
Thanks again,

Ahhh, another islander, eh? I spent 5 days on Whidbey this summer when it was hot. Didn't get to see much scenery other than the horse ranch where our clinic was taking place, but enough to know there's some beauty there for sure!
The horse I was riding is considered pretty much bomb-proof, but low-flying jets pushed his mental envelope just a tad, LOL.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Yeah, those jets can be pesky! I worked around them for 23 yrs. so they don't really bother me. The old EA-6B's are going away in the next few years and being replaced by the EF-18 (much quieter, I'm told--yeah right).
There is lots to see and do on Whidbey. You should check it out; Fort Casey, Fort Ebbey State Park, Coupeville and the Historic Preserve, etc., etc.
Better half and I run a business in Shoreline. I spend 3 days a week in Seattle. I hate to leave the island and am on cloud nine all the way back!

We were at Wildwood Farm on Happy Valley Rd., a huge spread, used to be a thoroughbred ranch, race track all that stuff. Holding court with a Danish trainer. Got to a couple of good restaurants, late in the evenings, but otherwise just saw Safeway and pizza parlors, LOL!
Did get a beautiful view of Oak Harbor, moon over water, one evening. Will keep your list in mind for next visit, which hopefully won't be so work-oriented. Let me know when those quiet jets are filling the sky.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
We live on Silverlake Rd. As the crow flies, we're about 1 1/2 miles from Wildwood. A good friend of mine is in real estate and he says he had it as a listing about 10 yrs. ago. Really a cool piece of property!!

The dressage trainer I work for, and her European partner, were being recruited to buy it just about that time, but they couldn't pull the financing together. It's a fantastic piece of property, but incredible upkeep!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
