Hi, I am really thinking of getting serious about woodworking. I am now looking at investing in the basics as far as tools, workbench etc. Besides the fact that I like building stuff( helps my stress level!!!) I was wondering does anyone recommend a particular online course for learning the craft if the tools are there for use? I have no formal training and work fulltime so online training would be a obvious option as far as time is concerned. Can it work as far as working towards getting a position say for carpentry, cabinetry, furniture making, etc… Any tips on the absolute essentials for starting my own workspace. Thank You for your time, Spills

Check out our free video series called Getting Started in Woodworking. We've got about a dozen episodes online that should answer a lot of your questions, and more to come. I can also point you to a lot of content on our site if you have specific questions.
