Online Sources for General canada tools?
Hey Everybody,
I’m looking to buy a floor standing drill press and heard the General’s made in Canada were a good product for the money. Anybody know of an online source or dealer (anywhere between Pensacola and Atlanta)?
Thanks in advance for your help!

They have a dealer/distributor list on their site.
Thanks, I saw that. Actually, I'm really hoping someone will know of a good online seller.
Thanks!
Jesse, at Eagle Tools, in Southern California, carries the General line, I believe.Alan

They are in Central Florida. They also do leasing I think.

Don't get the brand names mixed. General is top of the line. The same company also puts out other power equipment under the name General International or International General, I'm not sure which. It's also good equipment but of a lower quality. I have a General International jointer and it serves me well, but then I'm not a "professional" , just a basement woodworker.
William Redmond & Sons in Atlanta carries General. I bought my jointer there. I believe their website is http://www.redmondmachinery.com They don't always have the pricing for all the equipment on their site, but I'm sure they would be glad to get you a price on whatever you're looking for.
I have bought three four pieces from them. I've had good experience with them and have heard nothing but the same from others.
Thanks everyone! You've given me exactly the great leads that I was hoping for!!

A little late, but ditto LOST SOUTH. Redmond & Son have a big dig down in S. Atlanta off Fulton Industrail. Super nice folks and been around awhile. They are known to back the sale.

Thanks Sarge - I was actually trying to find out who the "big power tool supplier in Atlanta that everyone talks about" is and had thought of posting you since I know you live up that way.
By the way, that workbench you helped me on last fall (you recommended Suwanee Lumber) is coming along pretty good - although I got water on it and an old chris craft boad grew right there on the floor next to it...!
Hope things are well - keep all your great posts coming. I'm assuming you didn't ask for a set of LN chisels for Christmas, right?....:)
RIGHT.... ha.. ha... ha.. ha.. ha...
