Being a truck driver in a large city has some advantages when your in any office building your always seeing contractors ripping out the old and in with the new in building materials .Example1 A door jamb made from solid mahogony(full sized office door)cool huh. I built a bed frame ,queen size(the wife is happy)this wood was 2″Tx7″W8’L.THis jamb was spotted by yours trully at a loading site.Upon fisrt inspection I was not sure if it was real until I looked at the end grain.Holy @#$%!Then I asked the dock person if it was trash ,and he said yes.Gawwwwwly!.2-A hotel renovation ,25 pcs of headboard for double a sized bed ,solid oak with raised panel,COOL.3- 6 pcs of of 2 good sided 1/2″Tx3’Wx7’Beech veneer,JOY!.4- 30 pcs various large size cherry veneer 3/4″T.AYE! And the list goes on. It’s amazing what the corporate world will throw out when its reno time.As for me it just allows me to save abundle of loot to build furniture.CHEERS!
