Hi.
A friend gave me this old Sheffield plough plane last week. Is is in perfect condition, still in original box, original sticker on handle, blades (8) never been sharpened, instruction manual, everything.
The box says ”Marples M44 plough plane”.
He wants no money for it, but if it is a rare collector’s item, or if it has a significant value, I will either give it back to him or buy it somehow.
Any thoughts?
By the way, this thing is a delight to use!
Fred

Not a rare collector's item Fred, but an easy way to run grooves for drawer bottoms rather than set up a router table.
Yes, they are easy to use - I use one if I've only got one drawer to make.

edit:
In this condition, it's probably worth money to a collector - I'd put about $100-150 on it as it's worth.
