i planning to oil a table made of sapelle. i don’t want the table to get as dark as it gets with the tung and danish oil samples i tested. can anyone suggest an oil that it will not make it go that dark?

Can you give the specific brand and "model numbers" of the finishes that you've tried? There are so many different kinds that we need to know exactly what you used in order to be able to suggest something lighter in color.
