I’m building a small chest of drawers that will be used for baby clothes. I want to seal the interior parts of the drawers and the carcass. What’s the best product to use that is non-toxic and doesn’t have an odor?

Shellac has no odor, but nearly all finishes will be non-toxic.
Thanks. I was thinking about shellac but I wasn't sure about the odor. I give it a try.

Shellac would be my finish of choice. Another tack you might take..... I've been making some wardrobe's and linen cabinets with yellow cedar interiors (veneer). I leave it unfinished because for it's intended use, a finish isn't needed. And, any finish would block the very slight cedar odor that the yellow cedar has. Sanded, this wood is very seductively soft and smooth.
Interesting solution I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the suggestion.
