I have an old Model 60 Powermatic 8″ jointer. The problem is the infeed table is not co-planer with the outfeed. It tilts away from the cutter head as much as 3/16ths from middle of the machine to the end. How do I level the infeed table on this model. I have a schematic drawing but no instructions as how to proceed. I would appreciate any advice or reference material that might be helpful.
Thanks…….beeline

The most likely cause is that the dovetails that the beds slide in have gotten loose. The adjustment isn't that hard to do but I can't describe the process in the limited space I have here. I'd suggest getting my book "Care and Repair of Shop Machines", it will take you through the whole process of tuning up a jointer. Taunton will sell you a copy somewhere on this site.
