These are some shots of a home under construction in North Dallas. A friend of mine is contracting the interior finish work these are some pics i down loaded of his camera, not that great but the work is very nice. tomorrow I am going to get some pics of my own and meet the guy who has been working on the carving for the past two years . All the carved panels hang on a French cleat system and over lap each other .

Wow. Looks like have made a lot of work for the painters! Where do you find people that will commit to the build and then the folks to do it?Amazing what you can get for $200 a foot.
I will double that WOW! Looks like a lot of work for everyone involved. How long would it take to build a house like this? I know it won't fill up schedule any time in the near future.

Thats' how they used to be done in England and France circa 1750-1900.
Place in Atlanta, "Gatsby's" imports whole rooms of the stuff and auctions it by the room. Floor to ceiling complete. Also whole taverns and bars. Good place to go to see jointery and techniques. Out on- where else- Peachtree St.
Ill bet Sarge knows the place.
The Dallas work- very nice quarter panel work. Noticed crown not in place yet. Looks like they may be going for coffered ceiling?
Thanks for the post

Boiler ,
Thanks for the info on that cleat system I found that interesting. I have not had a chance to get back there yet although I intend to soon, At that time i will try to get some better photos.
It is quite a project, from what I understand the owner is a designer and this home is her master piece. In an earlier post someone metioned 200$ a sq ft, it is actually around 1300 to 1500 psft. All the exterior is comprised of stone custom milled from France. A few of the fire places and stone floors are also recycled from from French chateaus . The actual living space is approx 14000Sqft, with garages 17000.
I have worked in the home from time to time for fill in work when I get slow, Must bring the A game on these type jobs. thank for posting.
Tom.
Ps, here is one he finished up last year in Ft Worth.
