I just started a blog on my adventures here in Tasmania and at The Australian School of Fine Furniture. I’ve posted a few pics of my most recent works and would like any feed back on them. I’ve tried post pics here in this forum but can never get them to upload.

Kaleo, what a nice presentation! I love the look of the web page, and of course the woodworking pieces are great too! Don't know if you'd have time, but what with it being a blog, I'd love to read more about the daily give-and-take at the school.
Would it be OK with you if I posted your link over at woodworking.org WWA forum? Or are you already there?? They would enjoy it.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't mind at all if you post the link we ever you like. I will have to keep on top of the site. Being at school makes life really crazy. Right now we are doing a chest of drawers and we start a Hall table tht is our own design soon. I will be making more post soon. Thanks againKaleo
Beautiful, first-class work.
Kaleo,
Given the great reviews that you got from the Boss and Forestgirl, there is not much to add. But I am wondering. Why did you take such a long trip to go a woodworking school, and what are you going to do when you finish?

PS You do beautiful work!

Well there are a few reason why we made the trip out here. About 2 years ago I took a summer class at the north bennet street school in boston. I there is where I realized this is what I wanted to do. But the more I researched school, at least places in the states were focused on traditional colonial reproduction work. Which is great but just not me. Here we are taught both traditional handskills and joinery, but we are also taught alot about design and the school has a more contempary focus.Plus I knew that if I wanted to try and make this a career, than I better go somewhere where dropping out wasn't an option. And lastly, I have always wanted to go to Australia and New Zealand, it just seemed right.Loving it here-Kaleo KalaP.S. I make new post on my blog weekly now, showing the new project is there stages.
thanks for the feedback.
