Just checked myself in the mirror and have discovered several new shades of green...! Sweet shop.
"demise of the pond" ??? Badger pond? Just checked and it's up and running fine...What am I missing?
Brian,
The main page is still active for sales of the wax and such but all the forums are gone. Click on the forums to see.
Thanks,

Yep...too bad.
Wow!!! Welcome Terry, and many thanks for posting that detailed shop tour. I'm so impressed with your organization, design and workmanship.
Would be interested in knowing a bit more about how the register boot attaches to the 1019Z and what kind of cutting out it involves (metalworking isn't my strong suit).
Congratulations on a great shop!

Nice shop, nice photo post, where is the sawdust?
TerryH,
Welcome and thanks for the pics...beautiful shop. Like you, I have an old skill TS that I have been thinking of turning into a pencil sharpener/sander. It is really useful or mainly a space taker-upper? thanks
BG,
I use the sanding disc ocassionally but basically I only keep it around because I incorporated it into the router/planer station.
Terry
Forestgirl,
Thanks for your kind words.
The lower door of the BS was cut with tin snips on the edge and simply bent out at 90 deg. A 2 1/2 X 10 register boot was then screwed to the piece of the door that you bent out. I drilled a hole in the base of the saw and attached a small L bracket to the saw and the boot to hold the boot securely. Only 1 screw has to be removed to access the lower wheel.
Thanks,
Terry

Additional BS hood pic.
Thanks, Terry, for the additional details and the close-up pictures. I don't have a DC yet, but will keep this info on file for the future.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Welcome Terry.
You have a very nice and organized shop. Did you build the big work bench? What is the size of the top?
Chris
Chris,
Yes I built it. The top is 42X99. I spent most of last summer on the bench project. It is so nice to have a flat surface that big to work on and being able to store the most commonly used tools right there has saved miles of walking.
Thanks,
Terry
