I have read the review of floor model mortise machines but, I haven’t seen any reference to the Laguna Tool Slot Mortise machine. Can anybody give me a comparison to the General 75-075 M-1 machine? I need to buy a machine but at my age (64) I want it to be the correct machine for furniture mortise making. Thank you for any help.

We haven't reviewed the Laguna machine (I assume you're talking about the horizontal slot mortiser? http://www.lagunatools.com/platinummortiser3.htm ) but it's a good suggestion for a future magazine review.
I'd suggest posting your query in Knots to see if any members have personal experience with the machine.
