Looking for advice as I am setting up a new shop. I plan to purchase either the Minimax CU300 or the Robland NX-31. I have read all the reports/comparisons, however my concern is future support and service back-up. Any input regarding suppliers would be appreciated.

The service I've gotten from Minimax has been better than any other tool company I've dealt with.
They really do try harder.

FWIW: I live near the MM hq. The sales mgr here was hired from Laguna, according to him.
I had a robland for 2 weeks and NOTHING was as it should have been: The table slide's holes were wrong on the main frame, the underedges of the top were so poorly machined that you risked your fingers if you reached in anywhere underneath. Finally I said "Take it back, as per your guarantee!" They told me to try to find a carrier who could pick it up. right. Fortunately, a buddy with a wrecker helped me out. 3 weeks later I get a call: "You gonna return that saw or what?"(I'd stopped the credit card) "Your receiving dock signed for it two weeks ago." "Oh."
The MM has been OK. Mine is over 6 years old now so no longer quite the same as you'd be buying today. Best of luck.
