I have thru my own procrastination allowed mildew / mold to get into some fine old pine. As this was originally taken from an old cottage we once owned, I’d very much like to re use it in my new cottage. Can anyone suggest how I might get this mildew out of this lumber? I have tried the typical deck wash to no avail?

Presumably the wood is not green or very wet, and the first thing is to stop the mould growing. To do this all you have to do is get the wood too dry to sustain fungal activity. 20% wood MC is the target below which no fungi will grow, and only the dry rot fungus can sustain itself at anything approaching this 20% MC: all other fungi need the wood wetter than this, and in many cases, substantially wetter to survive.
Once you have got the wood down to this moisture content--- you may only be talking about damp near the surface--- stopped the mould growth, then you can address any other issues such as staining and so on. Slainte.

Thank you for the advice!

Be careful when working this wood with mildew as the dust that gets in your lungs will find moisture and activate. i worked some mildew fungus/ wood, and the sweat from my arms reacted with the wood dust and got a nasty rash that lasted for a month.
How has the Pine been stored, Is it stickered so air can circulate around the boards ? You may have luck with bleach sprayed on if the mildew is only on the surface .
