I am needing to make a jig (thinking about MDF ) but I need 2 straight as a string edges, One will be the factory edge and the other one I was going to use a template I know to be straight and use it for my guide and use a flush cutting router bit to cut the MDF on the jig I am making. My question is this: will the MDF dull and/or ruin the router bit??? BTW –1/2″ MDF. This is pretty wordy, but I hope it is understandable. Thanks. WW —57

MDF cuts very easily. It won't dull the bit excessively.
Your direct question has been answered, but I want to exercise my maternal instinct and bring up the issue of dust. Please be sure and use dust collection if you can, and wear a respirator. MDF puts out the tiniest little particles of dust and it just goes everywhere.
