For David Heim or Matt Berger
I was a faithful follower of the Matthew Teague shop blog until he/FWW quit posting back in March. I’m not counting his draw bore tenon article because it didn’t have anything to do with the building of his shop or tool placement, etc. Since the blog was left hanging, I’ve grown concerned that something happened to Matthew or his family and alternately wondered if he just got snowed under by work–we’ve all been there, but since nothing has been posted about what happened to the blog, I thought I would ask the question–What happened to the blog? Thanks, and I hope that all is well with Matthew and his family. Tom

Hi Tom.
Don't worry. Matthew Teague is happy and healthy. He is still in his Nashville shop and enjoying life with wife and new daughter.
Unfortunately, making a living trumped his ability to continue his pro-bono blog, and he's been spending most of his time earning a living editing books and articles and building furniture commissions.
The good news is that we are preparing a magazine feature on his shop to run in the next Tools and Shops issue, due out in November. We've also enlisted Matthew to resume his blog for a few posts to correspond with his article release.
Sorry to leave you and the rest of his faithful readers hanging. We've been experimenting with a lot of Web features on this site and sometimes we find that it's difficult to maintain them all.

Thanks for the update Matt. I'm glad to hear everything is fine. I had hoped that his work had him too busy to write. I'll look forward to the Tools and Shops issue and the updates on the site. And let us hear from you--and your coffee table. Don't be a stranger around here, please. Tom"Notice that at no time do my fingers leave my hand"

Well it's nice to know I'm missed. Rest assured the all is well here. As you suspected, I've just been covered up with work. Sorry for my absence at the blog. I do hope to post more as the next issue nears the newsstands.

You have been missed--I have been living vicariously through your shop build, making notes and hoping to build my own dedicated shop space someday. Hope the baby is doing well and growing up--nothing as great as being a parent! Tom"Notice that at no time do my fingers leave my hand"
Mr. Teague,
This is my first post....ever.
Thank you for the article Space Saving Ideas for a Small Shop.
You article has given me some new ideas that I will use in my small shop. I was wondering if you could tell me where you purchased the premade metal drawers that are shown in the storage units to the left and right of you chopsaw? That looks like a great way to quickly and affordably add much needed storage.
Thanks for your comment. The drawers came from Lee Valley and they're still available. Let me know if you have any trouble tracking them down.
Matthew
