I was given a huge maple burl 20″w x 20″ l x 15 ” thick, a neighbor had stored in his basement for years. WOW WHAT A SCORE!!! I took it to a local sawyer and had 1″- 1/2″- and 1/4″ slabs cut.
There are some punky spots, some loose and tight knots, some bids eye, and some spalt running at angles thru the burl. Also some deep and shallow voids in some pieces.
Any suggestions on how to fill and seal will be greatly appreciated. I can send pics if needed!!

That's a rather broad question.
What are you planning on making with it?
Are the knots falling out?
Can you plan on not useing the punky area?
