I realize that I may be posting in the wrong folder, but I don’t see a classified ad section here at Knots like I am used to over at Breaktime. Sorry in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
A lady I know has some mahogany boards that have been stored indoors since her father died 30 years ago. He was an amature wood worker who bought an entire container of mahogany decades ago.
The lumber is located in southern Colorado. I have e-pics, but they were sent to me in a HUGE size which I could forward, but probably not to a dial up connection.
I called Frank Paxton lumber in Denver and was told a price of $11.40 per bd ft retail and a price of $8 per bd ft for industrial sale.

I have not seen this lumber. This is the list that was given to me.
If you are interested, please e-mail me your name and phone number (through the forum e-mail) and I will pass that along to the lady who owns the wood.
You can then negotiate directly with the owner regarding price and shipping possibilities, which you will probably have to arrange. She knows the prices for retail, but I’m pretty sure she’s willing to negotiate with anyone who’d buy and come get the entire pile of wood. She has said that she only wants to sell the entire amount to only one buyer.
Thanks for considering this offer. The owner really is a little white haired lady who lives on a minimal income.

was it only driven to church on sundays as well? ;)
It's been stored on the altar. <G>+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++"Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd." Voltaire
perhaps it could be the the alter, with some fine craftsmanship added in there!
Just for fun I ran the numbers. The middle column is the boardfoot calculation and the third column is the cost at $8.00/BF. I wish I lived near Colorado.
