I recently found a Magna 11″ bandsaw in someone’s trash. I have never heard of this manufacturer and was wondering if anyone has any information about it.

If I remember correctly, Magna tools were the original producer of the Shopsmith multi-purpose tool. They were out of business when John Folkerth was looking for parts for a Magna tool that he owned. He discovered the last of the inventory and the plans and dies for the tool in a warehouse somewhere. He purchased them and started the Shopsmith company that we know today.
I have no idea of the quality of the Magna tools. I do, however, own a Mark V.
