Hi all!
I am looking to build a shaker wall cupboard, but am having difficulty finding plans and/or books on the internet. Does anyone have any recommendations or plans with directions and measurements for shaker cupboards. This will be my first cupboard to build.
Thanks again
Steve.

Steve,
Try this site http://www.woodprojects.com/plans1.php or google woodworking plans for about 100,000 sites.
I understand that this is your first attempt, but you should try finding a couple that you like, or just one, and draw up your own plan. If it is just something that hangs on the wall it is basically a box with a couple of doors that either fit inside the box or lay on top of it. That way it fits the space you want to fill and you have a much better handle on what you are doing before you cut a single board.
If you need help just ask. Rob
there's a book by a man named shea. it has lots of shaker plans and drawings. i built a gorgeous small wall cabinet that i saw at hancock shaker village with the drawing from this book. a picture of it is also in john kassay's book on shaker furniture, but it doesn't have the measured drawing. there are many other shaker pieces with measured drawings in kassay's book. those books are a fantastic place to begin. the books are available on amazon. com too.

Shop Drawings of Shaker Furniture & Woodenware by Ejner Handberg, three small volumes at $9.95 each having measured drawings and some construction detail are very good. Berkshire House Publishers, Lee, Massachusetts.
