Looking for woodworkers near South Pasadena, CA…
Greetings Knots Fans:
It’s been a few months since I’ve been around here. I just moved from Connecticut (and FW.com) to Southern California (and publicradio.org), and I’m looking for someone who wants to invite me over to their shop so I can use their bandsaw and/or scroll saw for a project I’m working on 🙂
As many of you may know, I worked for Fine Woodworking for several years and got to take advantage of the awesome shop space. Now I have a garage but no big power tools, and I have a project I need to finish up in the next few weeks.
If you live near South Pasadena and you want to help a former FW editor get back into the game, let me know!

I'd offer, but . . .
Hey, Matt. I'd offer, but New Mexico is probably not convenient for you. ;-)
Arizona is closer... but

Matt I am in Carson, but heading out for a job in Central Calif. coast for a week. I may be able to work something out when I get back.
I am in downtown Los Angeles, and have a reasonably complete, albeit dirty, shop with a WWII era bandsaw. Email me at [email protected]
Thanks!
Great! I'll send you an email today.
Matt.. You are invited if you move to Chicago area...
Most of my projects take a year or two.. I babysit all of my baby kin.. I think babysitting is way more importand than woodworking!
Nothing like a small child that will give you a true picture of your life and what is the most important to do other than woodworking... No child has told be that woodworking is A BAD THING...
By the way.. I have a very small shop... No wine but a few bottles of Rye Whisky.
Matt: I'm in Covina, CA
Matt:
I'm in Covina, CA which is just a few miles to the east. If you don't find what you need I have both a scroll saw and a Powermatic bandsaw, plus a host of other power tools.
We go next door to you, to Pasadena, quite often for dinner or to visit the Rockler store, so you're reasonably close.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance. [email protected]
Jim
My memory's good, it's just short.
