Does anyone have ideas or plans for a simple wine rack system? This is for retail use, and I’m looking to build something around 7′ high that would span a 30′ wall. Any references or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

ones I've seen in stores were simply 1x boards going diagonally, in a diamond pattern, but not holding individual bottles.

Try diynet.com then look under "Woodworks". There is a small one there that is the diagonial type that you mite expand on or go to IWAWINE.com and look at there storage systems and design from there.
