I tried to order the machined steel pulleys for my Powermatic 63 saw. I found the 2″ and 3″ pulleys in the Highland Hardware catalog- these are not the stock size on the saw, but the correct ratio in order to maintain blade speed. Unfortunately, they no longer carry the 5/8 ID, 3″ OD pulley. Having it machined locally is expensive compared to the list price of 12.99. I have replaced the belt with a Powertwist belt which made a sustantial vibration improvement. I have two questions: is it worth the trouble to locate a 3″ pulley, and if so any ideas about sources?

Try http://www.mscdirect.com, if you can stand it. Their interface drives me nuts. Or just go to the web site for the 800 number and call for a free catalog. Good service (except for their brain dead web site) and remarkable selection.
Try Reid Tool Supply Company http://www.reidtool.com.
