hi have a problem maybe you can help
my wife wanted a butcher block table made from walnut also she wanted it to be 2 1/2” thick and 7′ long and 4′ wide right now it is 7′ long and 42” wide the last section will complete the top but the large part is to heavy to run thru the joiner i have tried to use a straight edge and a skill saw to square it up but the blade bends tried to use a hand plane but i must have it perfectly square to fit the last section before thanks giving, well maybe, please help if you can gary

Use a router against a very straight edge. The bit won't go all the way through the 2.5 inch thickness, but you then flip it over and use a bearing bit so rout the other side. Quick, painless, and easy.
