Hello,
I just learned that laminate comes in different sizes for counter tops as well as for other projects.
I am doing my router table top. When I tried to buy the laminate, the salesperson asked me what thickness do I want as well what the application would be. So, as I was not experienced with laminate, I just mentioned to him just give me the usual that is used for countertop. At the last minute, I changed my mind as the price varies greatly based on the size thickness and grade.
Can anyone recommend the best for my application of router table top.
Thank you,
Moataz.

The cheapest. It won't see a lot of wear, so cheap is good. Keep it clean and wax it every so often.

Back when I used to fabricate a lot of kitchen countertops with plastic laminate, there were "vertical" grades as well as "horizontal" ones. The vertical stuff was thin and was used for backsplashes, where it would get virtually no wear. The horizontal grade was thicker and had more plastic on top as a tougher wear layer. You could also buy it in laboratory grade, which was resistant to chemical spills...
But I agree with the other poster. Buy the cheapest. Even a thin grade will last for years and years on a router tabletop..
